Revolutionary Solar Cells for Our Keyboards, Headphones and More!

In Stockholm, Sweden, a world-changing solar cell technology—to be used in commercial gadgets—has been developed. It has the potential to address both the global need for energy and our world’s greatest environmental challenges.

“It works in any light condition, it’s more durable than any other solar cell in the world, it’s easy to manufacture, and it can imitate any surface – leather, carbon fibre, wood, brushed steel. It’s also beautiful,” explains Exeger co-founder Giovanni Fili. “So we can integrate into products that are already selling in the billions of units per year.”

A thousands-dollars-worth sheet containing 108 miniature solar cells is printed every six seconds. Those cells will soon be added to everyday gadgets like keyboards and headphones. Exeger is looking beyond the Sun as the sole power source for a photovoltaic cell. The Powerfoyle era-defining technology can harvest electricity from any light source, from direct sunlight to candlelight. It widely diverges from the traditional glass-covered panels, eliminating the need for silver lines as conductors. The patented skin-like material can be seamlessly integrated into various products while remaining waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. “We are making people light conscious because light is power.”
